just wondered what others are thinking about, what the little voice in your head is saying, as we sit here reading and responding to various threads. of course it may jump around some.

me, i usually have the same negative chorus going despite my trying to cope, and help others with positive advice. guess thats always how it is though, being better able to help others, trying to give sound logical advice, but not being very good at implementing it into ones own life. of course i think it helps when one has pple in real life that provide a steady stream of encouragement and support. but those are the lucky ones.

any thoughts?

" Hi there...

I haven't been around here for quite awhile, but usually when I do come on DS, my head is generally geared towards wanting to respond to the hugs/messages I have received....then I feel overwhelmed and, depending on the severity of it, I may respond or just log back off.

When I come to the boards I look at a myriad of different things, some I feel like I want to respond to and don't, some I know I can't respond to, and some I just read and go back out.

To sum it up, my head is generally in a clusterfrig most of the time lol "

" What goes through my mind is if I can give someone support and maybe even help. What also goes through my mind is how irritating it is to open posts to find out that they are just a bunch of stupid crap. that or a bunch of foul language.
I think that topics should be if you need to talk and need support or help . Also just to get feelings out. Not to post about what your going to eat or a bunch of jibber jabber. I take my time seriosly and hope that when I open a post that it isn't going to waste my time. I want to be a help and want help when I need to post.
I have begun to realize which ones to just leave alone because it will either be a bunch of crap or a bunch of cussing that I do not care to read. Thats what I think about when I come on here. "

" it would be nice if when you scanned over the name of thread it would give all or part of it for you to preview, before going to the page. the other forums i visit have that feature, another thing that irritates me is that there isnt an edit post button that would allow one to fix mistakes or change or add a thought. for a few minutes after one posts. ive never seen another forum, not have one of those.

i agree with you regarding the posts, slrow. id like to see off topic stuff posted in the off topic areas, isnt that what they are there for. its fine to be lighthearted, laughter can defuse tense feelings and can be good medicine sometimes, but some stuff should be in the off topic sections. just my opinion. " Yes, an edit feature!

anywayz, I mostly think about how self conscious I feel about the advice I'm giving. Will it help? Do I sound like a know-it-all? Am I being too selfish?

But, I mostly come on here because I write my thoughts better than I say them. I am more satisfied with comes out on the page than what pops out of my mouth.
