find myself making a dumb mistake

On DS and also on my blog ( www.vince-s-ithaca.blogspot.com )
I make the mistake of being too uncomfortable w/ silence.

For instance, I write to a friend about a problem I have. Then I don't here from her. The first reaction? a stupid one! I panic and think she's mad at me.
I'm taking that "proverbial 1st step" of admitting my problem. I hope that I don't mess up anymore relationships with this dumb panic as I did 4 yrs. ago.

Have any of you been through this or done this mistake????

In my blog indicated above, I often take the fact that there's not a lot of readers as rejection. But maybe I shouldn't. There are, after all a lot of things to see on the Internet and mine is not the flashiest of them. Plus, I am really grateful for the blogging buddy I have, Amel, from Finland. Hers is a wonderful story of a loving relationship w/ her husband. How she left her home nation of Indonesia, loved her new home in Finland and learned the language. Her blog is listed on the right side of my blog.

" I'm familiar with that one. It took me years to learn it's a dance with people. I have a hard enough time dealing with People, and I'm no dancer, so ... I think what made it good for me was connecting with ME finally. You know when they say "It's not about you, it's about me"? I always thought that phrase really meant the opposite. It means just what is says, and it's true. Just like people cutting me off in traffic. I finally learned that MAYBE they have a loved one in the hospital and need to get there Fast - they Might not be purposely Rude to me, or in a race. Be comfortable in YOUR skin, and the rest of the world will be just fine. "

" I love how Bistro put it.. I find that a lot of our problems stem from low self-esteem and self-worth.. If you can learn to manage that then you just might have the world in you pocket.. Easier said then done.. I know.. "

" I hear you LW.

Used to be like that - would jump to false conclusions, overreact & assume incorrectly & it was one of my biggest weaknesses & yes, I hurt some people with my "assumptions."

Hugs xx "
