Maybe a small % can be, but I think it will still come back and slap your ass down , I know I have been dealing with it most of my life . Good article though .

Sad to read that most folks don't get adequate treatment and have no chance at recovery b/c of that.

It's an interesting view and really helps hammer home the whole 'It takes a lot of hard work and time to heal but it can be done' thing.
Maybe if all the depressed folk in the world send out a good vibes message to the cosmos asking for a magic pill, we might get one but I won't hold my breath. Lol.

You're welcome mom2michelle and you bring up a valid point. After being in therapy for a couple of years, I think most people would start to feel hopeless but if you look depression in the terms of long term care, two years isn't that much to treat a severe illness.
If you have to receive some kind of treatment for the rest of your life, again, that's disappointing but if you think of it as if you have diabetes or some other lifelong but manageable illness, things seem less hopeless, at least to me anyway but maybe I am wearing my optimist hat (it was getting dusty and moth ridden).

You're right, Uhm, we do have to look at it as something that we might possibly have all our lives...but it is nice to know that maybe we won't, too.
I wonder where my optimist hat went?? Haven't seen it lately... :-/
