Depression Support Group

sitting here listening to music.. just remembering times as a child and other times that bring smiles my face. realizing that others paid a big price for this freedom. my two uncles were both in the US air force. both stayed and retired in the military... my uncle doug and lonnie.... both are gone now, but will always live in my heart. when i was a kid and they would come home on leave, there was much excitement at our humble little mill village house. they were my hero's..... they would come in with their dress blues on and i promise to this day. they looked like movie stars. both were drop dead hunks... as a child they were bigger than life to me. i was their little princess. as i recall those days i smile and feel safe. it was peace time and no war going on.. still i know they would have gone and done their duty.... they were hero's like so many all over the world today. men and women that leave their families to keep all of us safe.... i am proud to be an American today. not because i think we are perfect. not because we are the best. i am proud due to the unselfishness of others that have loved American and the freedoms we sometimes take for granted. may we all love each other and see the good in each other. this is not a political post. it is a simple post of my love of my country and my love of freedom..... i do remember it all.... i remember " WHEN". as a child i remember so many wonderful things. people seemed so different than today. i am thankful i can remember those times... bless you all... all over the world may we all know peace again......in the meantime, we can just extend love....
