does the thought of having to go to work ever get anyone feeling depressed for the day? i have to go and i dont want to even though i know i'll make $400. but there's a price to pay for everything and for me it's pretending to be happy to be in others presence when i'm really not!!! i'd rather be with my 5 yr. old or puttering around the house. thanks for allowing me to vent.

" Vent away. I've had jobs that took every ounce of energy I had just to walk thru the door morning after morning. After I got there it was okay but the big job was just getting there. "

" I lived that way for years and years. Right now I only work part time from home, but I really need to get something else that makes more money and maybe gives me some more self confidence and gets me away from my negative thoughts. But if you're in a job you don't like it's really hard to force yourself to go in. I hope once you get to work it won't be so bad and you can look forward to getting home again. (((HUGS))) "

" OH YES!!! Even though I actually love my job, I have had many days like that due to my depression and wanting to hide away. It sucks, but you have to force yourself, esp in times like these when I feel lucky to be employed! "

" My depression got so bad I quite my job just short of having met the SS requirement to get my disablity. I didn't know that. But I have time to do other things that are less stressful and still able to bring in some funds for my family. So I know what you are talking about. It is hard to tell people that you quite your job for medical reasons and they just act like they didn't know anything was wrong with you. I think of all the mask I wear and hiding from others is a big one for me. "
