I disappeared for awhile 'cause all I was seeing was negative. Not a good thing. I try my very best to be upbeat and encouraging for ppl and it just seemed at the time that alot of ppl wanted to just bicker. I get enuf of that at home. I don't need to go online for it.
My granddaughter is gone for the summer and that makes me very unhappy. She is nothing but a pawn for her mother to use against us. She could care less about her feelings. That poor child must have gotten the 3rd degree as soon as her mother picked her up. It wasn't 48 hrs and her mother was on the phone making threats. I can't even think abt it without getting very upset. My ankle still swells on a daily basis. I took anti-inflammatory (Meloxicam) for weeks. It's been months now since the first swelling. Is this going to be for the rest of my life???? Anti-inflammatories are bad for the stomach. Can't take them forever. Guess I just have to learn to live with it. It is said that the Lord doesn't give us any more than we can handle. Does HE really have to keep pushing the envelope?? I sure would love a break now and then. Enuf for now. I'm so sorry to hear about your granddaughter and her POS mother. My stepkids have a POS mother also. It's so sad. I would give anything to have my daughter back (born/died 2004), and I would love her so much, and some people pop them out like candy and don't care about them at all. So heartbreaking for the kids and the people who really do love them.
I wish you peace and I hope you will find more positive things here for a bit. (((HUGS)))

My granddaughters birth was not the easiest. They did a c-section at the last minute 'cause the baby they told her mother was abt 7 lbs turned out to be
10lbs 8.5oz and 22 1/4"

hi, i don't think they'll give her custody becuase of the distance. if she really wanted to be a part of her chld's life i don't think she'd live so far away. it is a shame. i hope that you can speak to your little darling over the phone, is she older or very young? my heart goes out to you. as long as your son has an income(unemployment) and/or a way to support his child's needs that's good enough. good luck. take care of your health so you'll be in good shape when she gets back!!

Unfortunately I don't have contact with her all summer. The only phone is her mother's cell phone and I don't talk to HER. My son talks to her weekly and that's what counts.

I forgot to mention, my granddaughter is 7 yrs old. Her mother took her and went back to the other coast when she was 5. We didn't see her for a whole yr while we fought to get her back.
My son was allowed to talk to her once a week for 5 mins. on speaker so SHE could monitor everything that was said.

i often revert into a shell. it is my way of protecting myself from further damage.. then i usually make a " come back". i am glad you are back. thank God i don't have grandkids, for my daughter would certainly do this same thing to me.... you are in my prayers.... xxxxx
