" I'm wanting to join a Yoga class, but I think I'll be a DVD instead. Meditation is the door to a wonderful realm! Yoga is just what I need!

" Only problem with Yoga is you have to be motivated, and I am willing to bet 99.2% of all depressed folks cannot find the motivation to do yoga, not to mention you have to be in fairly great shape to get that advanced stuff going...I like yoga, but I am not in good enough shape to do it...probably have a heart attack and keel over...oh the irony..when you think about it lol.

But anyway, any form of exercise has and does help alot with depression, just getting out there and doing it.
Glad you found a way to cope, thats great. "

" I disagree about the great shape comment, I practice with people from all ages and shapes. The beauty of yoga is that you do what you can, nobody will judge you with you can't touch your toes. And just trying a pose you get all the benefits. I used to be very upset when my tennis game did not improve or I "sucked". But at yoga, nobody judge you! You are as good as everybody else, b/c everybody bodies are different. About motivation...you're right, sometimes I can't move, or even think about going to class or even watching a DVD. But that's way you have to try harder and get out there. Guarantee you will be happier after class! "
