" ppphhhttt LOL tis bash kitt day hon didn't ya know that

ask away hon I am always open to questions.

politicly, I am the only open lesbian amongst all the student leaders, which is funny cos everyone expects me to be a staunch feminist, and are shocked to find I am not.

There is still a lot of homophobic behaviour shown in my end of the country....however I do believe that some of the grief that is throuwn at the queer community is justified.

we are a student town, so the base community here is of young ones...and they are all into the drink, drugs and screwing as many of each other as they can....they throw thier sexuality in peoples faces, then cry ooh that person is homophobic because of the reactions that they get.....I am not all that loved by the that particular group cos my reaction to them was they are creating thier own opressive situation, and also that sexuality is only 1 part of a person, it does not define the person....does that make sense? " yeah, I have some gay friends who openly try to antagonize people with that in your face attitude. But, what they don't realize is, it's that behavior which some judge all gay people. Just like in other relationships, no one wants to associate with a slut puppy, no matter who your sleeping with same sex, opposite sex or both. (lol) "

" lol that is very true

tis funny I have been called homophobic because I dont agree with some of thier ideals.

omg they once tried to put the motion forward to create a campaign to abolish the marriage law, that way everybody has to have a civil union, I told hte they were a pack of morons..and if thats the way that they believe equality will be gained they will throw us all back into 1983 when being gay was illegal in this country.

they really didn't like me doing that (ok granted it was in front of 200 odd people)

the funny thing is there were many that agreed with me, but were too scared to speak up cos they would be accused of being homophobic....same reason they wont speak up against any of the womens stuff that comes forward...in canse they get called sexist...

that type of concern and fear is so common its stupid.....i just dont get it... "

" yep, she wants to work in the adoption field. I am very proud of her, she moved her to go to LSU, my health got to a point I could no longer work, so I came here with her to help with her child. I keep him when she works.

As for womens issues, the one that surprises most, woman's right to work, ok........................if you want to fine, but for me, I am a mother first. I have always worked, I guess that is why they assume I will agree with them. But, I worked because there was no other choice. I guess growing up, I was a latch key baby, back in the 60's and 70's when it was not cool to be one. Anyway, I didn't like it, and I am more for the rights of children. Especially children who are not cared for due to being alone most of the time. "

" I guess I feel that the woman's right movement took the choice out, you either work, or get looked at like your some type of moron who does not know how to do anything else. "
