I don't know about you guys but I have bipolar and I gained a lot of weight from taking this drug. I'm not saying that everyone will but just be careful and watch it.

I have been taking Seroquel since Feb this year and things have been getting steadily worse. Never have I been more depressed or suicidal. It makes me sleep sleep and then sleep, then I get up to eat (sugar, salt, carbs) and go and sit on the couch! I felt so unmotivated and sluggish on this treatment. I'm gaining weight (a constant battle since original diagnosis & treatments) and feel I am not only treading water but drifting back. Forget about working or even trying to watch a movie in one go. I've taken myself off this drug. However, if you are really psychotic/sleepless, it can be a small gift from heaven when it knocks you out.

I was on 50mg to help me sleep, then I started to rapid cycling. So the doctor put me on 300mg take one in AM and one in the PM.
Are you kidding me? I am on here trying to type and my fingers have lost all corrdination and mispell words.

I'm on 50mg daily with 150mg Venlafaxine from June 09', i'm having the same symptoms as chunkychick and confidential. Weight gain and constant lethargy, it's alright at night when I need to sleep but it makes me very drowsy throughout the day, sometimes I just fall asleep for a few hours then i'll be up all night. They have calmed me down a lot but I dont think I could ever have full focus and concentration at work while taking them. The weight gain is just a pain in the ass.
