I see a lot of individuals demanding immediate change to the founders & staff of DS. At times it is downright emotional blackmail in it’s phrasing. Have any of you run a site with 300,000+ users?
Rather than attack DS because 1. someone has been banned 2. beleaguer the staff with horror stories of their responsibility for the actions of some user who has been banned 3. lack of or lack of information within their warnings Why not **politely** offer to discuss the situation with DS staff? I have seen quite a number of posts going on about how DS is responsible if someone decides to take their life over being banned. That is BS. If a person decides to end their life, they can make any excuses they want. It was THEIR choice.
No, I don't think this site is run quite as well as it should be. I would personally be willing to PM with Doug, Lars, Jesse, Nicholas, or any of the staff on how things could be improved, what it would take to implement such changes, and time frames involved.
