So true, Hands. I finally got to a place when I forgave somewone for extreme abuse as a child. I did'nt forget, I forgave and it felt as though 50 tons lifted from my shoulders.

i've found forgiveness to be the ultimate challenge, though - it is the most difficult & advanced thing to achieve. and i think it is the key for living happily.

Sorry InHisHands but this is one of my favorite quotes so must correct it. "Forgiveness is the fragrance the violet leaves on the heel that has crushed it." Mark Twaine Small difference as a rose would be hard to step on but the fragile violet, has the impact of forgiveness intended. Okay I am being to obsessive....sorry. :-)

actually, i don't think that is a small difference - a rose would have thorns to give its attacker pain - the violet is defenseless.
