" My wife was for a couple of years, really liked it because the people were nice. But then they changed the staff, lots of people signed onto a similar program at the local hospital, so the tone of the place changed and she didn't go back. The physical program she was very happy with, it was just the change in people that soured her, "

" I thought of it - but it was the most expensive thing going. Maridon is right, it's the people that are in the program that matter, not the actual program (I don't really think there is a HUGE difference) Just my opinion. "

" I was in it a couple of years ago but my body didn't agree with those machines.....plus I kinda overdid it, ended up with pulled muscles in my back and 6 months of therapy lol....oops.....but I didn't find it overly expensive and the people were nice..even had me kinda helping with newcomers and gave me a couple of free t-shirts lol before I got injured.....so it was fun while it lasted....... " I joined curves and I am sorry I did. I really do not think it did much for me. I stopped going but of course still have to pay every month. My sister is very into the gym scene and she was a member for a long time and she stopped going too. She just does not really like the machines. Says too repetitive. My nephew is a trainer and he said you need to change-up work outs.
So I guess it is up to the person. "
