" I am so sorry you are feeling this way; you're not alone in the way you feel. It's depression(an illness) thats has us feeling like we are not living at times; you didn't do anything wrong. Depression changes the way we see and feel about life; changes love and colors into sadness and darkness. Depression lies to us; conjuring feelings of sadness/darkness, dishearten of people and things we know we love and enjoy. At times this illness leaves us feeling distance from the people we love.

I hope the "dark cloud" lifts soon for you. Sending you good thoughts and vibes.....healing hugs. "

" I know how you feel. Im in your spot right now. I know you said you are on Prozac but maybe you need a higher doseage or a change in medication. It does and will get better it's just a matter of time&it does help greatly to talk to people who are in the same position as you. "

" I have a fabulous life... Two amazing kids, great job. Not to many money worries. Somedays I want to run away and not look back. Or go to sleep. Forever. Which makes depression all the more depressing. So I know what you are going through. Medication is the only reason I am still here and able to enjoy life from time to time. Maybe you haven't found the right one yet. Give it time. Please hang in there. "

" Unfortunately the devil (depression) has taken over a part of your life and it sounds like the best part. Are you seeing anyone to talk this through, such as a therapist? And has your doctor or a therapist put you on any kind of medication to help you through this difficult time? How is your family handling it? I hope you are getting the support that you need from home and they are able to understand what you are going through. If not, then hopefully you can go to counseling as a group so everyone understands the situation. Keep posting and letting us know how you are doing, Okay? "

" Well for starters it is definitely not your fault nor have you done anything wrong to get depression. Depression is genetic and environmental factors working together. It really explains why you can put two people in the same situation and one gets depression while the other does not get depression.

You're taking the right steps. You're seeing a professional and taking medications. If you have taken the medications for more than 6 weeks and are still feeling symptoms then you either need to up the medication dosage or change the medication. So if you're recently taking the meds then just hold in there, it takes a while before they start to take effect. "

" When I was dx'd with depression, I had a job I loved, was marrried, had one child, a home I loved. When the doctor said depression I wanted to laugh in his face. I told him what I just told you.

He told me that depression is a physical illness. An imbalance of chemicals in your brain that make you body cells have what he called flat tires. I believe this. but with any illness your have to treat it physically and mentally. I take my meds and do things like come here to handle the mental part. It helps me.. "
