Hi all, im just so depressed and just don't know what to do much anymore. It is a long story and keeps getting worse has started back ever since I was rape in JAN. 2010. Ever since then my health has went down hill extremely so that has not helped me at all either. Then after that got fired from my job and it is a wrongful termination, im finally getting a settlement from it but still have no insurance. I was going to a doctor that I could pay on a sliding scale and then after I go to her she gets arrested for drug trafficing writing scripts for herself!!!! SO NOW I CANT GET MY MEDICAL FILES OR ANYTHING AND AM OUT OF MEDS AND HAVE BEEN WAITING TO GET INTO A CLINIC AND FINALLY GET TO GO ON THE 21ST, SO AT LEAST I WILL BE ABLE TO GET MY MEDS. I just feel like giving up now im going to have to have all my test and everything all over because of her stupid choice. I just can't take this anymore....anyone have any suggestions??? would be greatly appreciated.... sorry its so long and thanks.....

Dear friend, I understand how you feel. Things are going wrong, and it is not your fault. But please don't give up! Sometimes life turns up-side-down, and changes your course completely. That is not the end, but a new beginning in a new direction in life. The unknown and the new is always scary and stressful. Especially when it feels like your situation hasn't settled yet. Please just be patient, things will settle down and you will find your way again. You have been through a lot, and you will get through this dark, difficult time! God is always with you, and He will help you get through all of these obstacles. I will pray for you, my friend!

Absolutely no, do not give up. You are finally getting your settlement and you are going to get your meds soon. Hang in there and talk to us for support and to help where we can for your depression.. We know what you are going through. That I can guarantee. I have all the same things that you have or have gone through so I know what you are going through. Message me anytime...
I forgot to ask you if you could possibly get some kind of assistance for your medical, and someone has to have your medical records, unless that so called doctor never wrote anything down. But I'm sure she did. There has to be someone you can talk to about those records. You are legally entitled to those records!

Andelene thanks for your advice. As much as I want to give up I know I just have to keep fighting and I know we all have a good support group here. I also do believe that with God all things are possible. Its just at a very very rough part of my life right now!!!

Well the settlement is a huge plus. Depending on the amount, you might be able to afford low-cost insurance (I don't know if they have it where you life, but Blue Cross Blue Shield has some decent plans for decent prices here, especially if you decline the drug treatment and pregnancy options).
Other than that...are you getting, or have you gotten, counseling regarding the rape? That might help a lot. I wish I had something less generic to say...but know that I hear you, you'll be in my prayers and we're always here if you need to vent. Hugs to ya ☼

Gramybear, I know for sure right now we cant get any of our records or anything I have done checked into it and everything is in the police and detectives hands until the whole investigations done. I know its so stupid but I do understand their point they explained to me that she wrote fraudulent scripts for her friends and family members that worked for her since it was a family practice as well as herself. Thats why no one can get their records at this time. Eventually we will be able to get them. ITS JUST HAPPENED AT THE WORST TIME IN MY LIFE BUT some how I will get through it. On top of everything I have going on really have no family at all. The only one I see on a regular basis is my aunt and have no one else so that makes me more depressed!!!

Summerwind, yes on that I have in the past been in counseling but not in a while since all of this has happened. The only place I can go to around my area is the crisis center for women and it was not helpful to me the people were not trained or was not required to take any schooling. I tried it for a year and finally quit going because it did not help me. The bcbs insurance monthly payments here are like 90 monthly but you have to pay 5000 out of pocket before the insurance will pay anything and thats the cheapest I CAN FIND AND IS TO EXPENSIVE.......but was worth A try thanks so much!!!!

I live in the UK, so I can only imagine your frustration with getting your meds. Life has been cruel to you and you really need a break. You've been incredibly strong through out this, and that's something to be really proud of.
