In the past few months, I think something inside me had died. I don't feel like myself anymore. Watching my best friend suffer, and the people from her support group suffer, and everyone on here suffer...I don't know...I feel terrible because there is nothing I can do to help. I hear about how much pain everyone is in, in tears begging for help that doctors refuse to give everyone...and sometimes I just want to curl up in a little ball and cry because I can't fix this. I can't make anyone's pain go away. I WANT to help more, but I have no idea what to do...My friend and my mom are saying that I seem to be shutting down. I think i'm starting to believe it now.

" I'm the same way at times. Others' suffering gets to me. It breaks my heart!!! I have to step back and take a breather, do something positive. You can't surround yourself with negative 24/7 and not expect it to have an effect on you emotionally. As much as we would like to help others, we can sometimes help them more by taking a step back, regrouping and coming back fresh and strong, to help support and love others.
Hugs "

" Do you have any idea how much you have helped with just what you have posted here? For people to know that there are those out there that care that much, means the world to them. You have helped more then you will ever know. Keep coming back hon. We want to be able to help you too. "

" I am a big fan of you have to take care of you in order to help others. Like Dixie said, maybe stepping back for awhile to regroup will help you. "
