Is Effexor making me a zombie?
I am so tired all the time...well, not really tired even. I mean, I don't feel tired, but I feel like a walking numb person. I stopped doing activities I used to enjoy. I sleep like 11 hrs per night, I can't get up. I have stopped crying, but I also barley do anything now. I refuse to go out on the weekends? Is this from the med or just symptoms of my depression? I can't tell?

" I also get very tired. It can be the medication or the depression. Seek medical advice.. "

" I'm going through terrible withdrawal at the moment, I can barely walk round my own house, and the last Efexor pill I took was last Tuesday. I have nausea, swaying sensation in my head, and my digestion is completely messed up. When I was on Efexor I was confident, not crying, didn't think about stuff too much, but the laid backness was due to the extreme tiredness, the joint pain stopped me walking, a trip round town could leave me barely able to walk, and shattered. I have to say now the cons are outweighing the pros. It does depend on the individual, not everyone is affected the same way, hence the long list of side effects in the leaflet, they have to include everything that someone has reported. "

" My doctor put me on this just over a week ago and I've had insomnia every since which isn't fun at all.I've also had sickness for the first couple of days. And my sex drive went a while ago.Like others before have said I also just feel numb emotionally, like I don't feel anything at all and it is strange.I'm hoping that after a couple of weeks I'll start to feel some sort of emotion.I'm going back to see another doctor on friday as I want to be referred to a psychologist or some sort of therapy as I feel like I may benefit more from it in the long run. " I've just started sleeping a whole lot more, I'm hoping it's not the M.E returning that I had when I was on Effexor before. "

" That's exactly what I'm feeling on lexapro! I feel as though I've had a chemical lobotomy. Things don't bother me but I have no energy or motivaation. In fact, I have some of the more classic symptoms of depression, wHich I didn't have before. I can't eat, I have no pleasure from the thngs that usually give me pleasure, etc. My husband loves it--I'm a Stepford wife! Totally zonked and uncomplaining. "

" Yeah you have no energy to complain and the other half of you can't be assed to complain. I was told by a Dr that I hadn't seen for ages, you've changed you're laid back and grown up, I thought no I'm just an Efexor Zombie! "
