My mom who lives with me refuses any help to come in any kind of assisted living and gets quite angry and hostile if suggested. I feel I am at my end. I don't know what to do. Yesterday for the first time I went out for a whole 3 hrs. with my husband on our speed boat. My 85 yr. old can hardly walk dementia mother was very very angry because she wasn't asked to go?? I have a sister who I love but I am growing more resentful of she gets to go on vacations come and go when ever she wants and this is fine. I however am lucky to go to the bathroom. WHat to I do???

right now I am working on getting someone that he already knows as my alternate. My husband also gets very upset and angry if I do ANYTHING without him. This young lady I am considering already helps me out but I think she should get for it and he is ok with her. He doesn't fight her or anything and if I do go out he isn't as angry if he knows she will be there. Now I just have to convince the VA.
Maybe you can try something like I do? Find someone she likes and see if they will give you respite.
