nerve conduction studies and emg

Hi, I just have a question. I went for nerve studies and an emg yesterday. The doctor completed the first part of the test, but just as she inserted the first needle - they had a power failure and I have to go back next week to complete the study. She mentioned that the nerve conduction showed slowing in S1 and another nerve in my right leg. I have lumbar stenosis and retrolithesis. I also have a lot of cervical spine degeneration. Does anyone know what this means? Thanks, Mary Anne

" Hi Mary Anne- I've had a nerve conduction study done too. So you must have a herniated disc in your lumbar spine? I'm not a dr but I'm guessing there is something compressing the nerve root in your spine which could explain the slowing nerves. I have cervical degeneration as well. Reaks all kinds of havoc for me. To get a definate answer you'll have to finish the tests and wait for your dr to see the report. I hated having that test done. It was painful. Hope everything works out for you. Gentle hugs! "

" Thanks for your help. Luckily, the doctor doing the emg also does acupuncture and I have heard from her other patients that you don't even feel the needles. I feel like an old car that is falling apart. lol. Hope you have a great weekend. Your kitty is so cute!!! "
