Degenerative Disc Disease Support Group

I've tried Soma, Robaxin and Flexeril. For me the Flexeril worked best. I was prescribed Baclofen once and the night I took it I got sick, nausea/vomiting and no sleep. I flushed them the next day. Flexeril is the only med out of a handful I take that really, really sedated me and after 2 months did not work as well but they still help a little, so I continue taking them.

Ouch !! For me Flexeril works the best. I have tried Soma & Skelaxin, but did not think they worked as well. Lorie

I am on Zanaflex 2 mg 2x daily and 4 mg at night, it works great for me. I've tried so many others and they don't help at all...I don't feel sick on them, I just get "knocked the F out".

Robaxin works for me majority of the time

I've taken soma, skelaxin and Robaxin. I would recommend either soma or Robaxin.

I had tried Skelaxin, Soma and Flexeril...Zanaflex has been the one and only to work for me. But I know that different things work for different people...btw, anyone without or with insufficient drug coverage check out www.pparx.org you can get a FREE prescription drug card..it really helped me out before getting married and covered under my husbands insurance...I know how pricey our meds can be.

I've been on Skelaxin, Flexaril and Soma.
Skelaxin is like throwing a cup of water on a raging fire.. it's not strong at all.
Flexaril gave me real bad headaches but I think it's because I sometimes get real bad migraines.. it was just a trigger.
Soma's been my favorite so far. It makes you really dizzy the first few days you're on it, so keep it a night time thing until you're use to it.

I was switched from Flexiril to Zanaflex by my Pain Management doctor. She told that it works a lot better than Flexiril which is not good at it's job. So far so good on the Zanaflex.

valumn is one of the strongest muscle relaxers. Soma is pretty good as well maybe you need something to help you sleep better at night as well, I think if you could get one of the two drugs i mentioned you would have a better quality of sleep. I suffer alot with the spasms too. good luck and i hope you get something that helps you soon.

I take Klonapin at night. I have perpheral neuropathy due to stenosis. The Klonapin calms down the peripheral nerves.
