Hey Dad,
I'm back, beena while but a lot has happened in the last few months.
I did the long trip to get the medical tests and procedures.... it was a nightmare.... the hospital turned me away because the plane was delayed... had to find somewhere to sleep the night and go back the next day. It was late at night and I was in a city I didn't know....but in the end all was taken care of...

Had a chance to do more work on the closet. The floor is now cleared off. I filled up another bag of clothes to give away to chairity this afternoon.
Had a lot of fun with the personal trainer. She told me I am improving. I am doing much better with balance.
Maybe I am getting stronger.

Dialysis went better today. They started a new tunnel for the buttonhole since the other one is not working. Sharp needles for the next six or seven times.
Computer system working a little better out a half hour earlier but still much later than the other system.
I got up early and did the OT exercises and dialysis stretching/exercises.

Since I was last here my Mom fell and broke her left hip (her right hip was broken 2 years ago) . My Dad ,of course called me instead of calling 911 . I get over there after driving like Mario Andretti to get there from across town . And she is sitting up in a chair and rubbing her hip and is unresponcive to any questions . So I call 911 and they send the ambulance . In the ER from 7 pm until 2 a...1 Recommendation -

Going for OT is probably just a waste of time. I doubt that I am going to get stronger they want me to do exercises twice a day. You have got to be kidding. On my dialysis days I barely have energy to come home and sleep. The only time would be before dialysis.
Possibly twice a day on M/W/F. But T/T/S/S no possible way.

All went well at my nurse visit appointment. The port flushed out fine without any problems.
It is so frustrating having a cold. It seems like I keep getting hit with medical issues since Nov. First one infection, then sinus issues, now this one. I am sick and tired of being sick.
It does not matter that I got both flu shots.
I hate having a comprised immune system.

Unfortunately not enough people signed up for the yoga class. So it will not be offered.
I do not seem to be having much luck getting into the classes which I want to attend lately.
I emailed the park district regarding a water fitness pass. I am not sure if it is still offered. That way I could use a punch card and go to the classes when I am available instead of trying to commit...5 Comments

Osteoarthritis (OA, also known as degenerative arthritis, degenerative joint disease, or in more colloquial terms "wear and tear"), is a condition in which low-grade inflammation results in pain in the joints, caused by wearing of the cartilage that covers and acts as a cushion inside joints. As the bone surfaces become less well protected by cartilage, the patient experiences pain upon weight bearing, including walking and standing. Due to decreased movement because of the pain, regional muscles may atrophy, and ligaments may become more lax. OA is the most common form of arthritis.
