I' m pretty sure there has been discussion on this in previous threads, but not sure where. Anyway - the med pamphlets say there is no weight gain side effect on this drug, but I'm convinced otherwise. Anyone else? I just had my 3rd baby. It never took me more than 2-3 weeks to lose all but 5 pounds of my baby weight. This time I gained 1/2 of what I normally gain while pregnant, but 7 weeks in, still have 20 pounds to go. I was put on coumadin immediately after my daughter was born. I eat like a mouse and am active. What's going on??? My weight isn't increasing but it refuses to go down.

" My DVT was not after pregnancy, but I can identify. I am much more active now than I was before the DVT, and I cannot get the scale to budge at all. I lost maybe 4 pounds or so and that's it. I know that they say muscle weighs more than fat, but I would like to see some progress on the scale. Some days I think my belly is a little smaller...other days it seems gigantic. My doc gave me a goal weight which is just about 10 pounds less than what I weigh now...I would like to lose about 25...but it keeps hanging on. Does anyone have any suggestions? "

" OH NO!!! I hope the coumadin doesn't add weight as I am also fighting weight gain from quitting smoking from the day I was diagnosed!!! I have gained 5 pounds in the last month. I hope that will be ALL I gain. I attributed it to the munchies I struggle with from not smoking and the fact that I am not able to work yet so I am not nearly as active as I was.

I will just keep repeating...IT IS NOT THE COUMADIN, IT IS NOT THE COUMADIN... LOL.. hey, it might work ;) "

" Due to other changes in habits post PE, I had a stabliized weight where I had been gaining about 1 kg a year previously, despite a high level of activity.

What started taking it off, albeit slowly, was a return to bicycle miles after a running injury. Regular ride times of 2 hours or more makes a difference. Maybe the long sustained low exertion level targets the fat a bit more. Are you equipped with a bicycle child trailer?

From what the aerial maps show, that part of MB has a grid of quiet roads. If I recall correctly, it gets even quieter going east toward that southern extent of the shield. "

" well, I am already active, but did return to the gym to start back on the elliptical and add that to my routine. I am not allowed to do any sort of high impact activity (even fast walking) nor any sort of straining. (Heavy weights) fingers crossed this all helps. I do leisurely walks around the area as well as bike rides. "
