I just found out a while ago that a really, REALLY good friend of mine has CF and I was absolutely devastated. I feel so many different emotions, and even though I found out months ago, the diagnosis is still kinda numb to me.. I wish I could say something to make him better. But I can't, and I hate that feeling. I just don't get it. We're both young and it hurts to think that he isn't entitled to the full, healthy life I am. I know I can't change it. I just don't get it. I can't do anything to make this any better. Any words of wisdom anyone feels like sharing?

" I lost my fiance' to CF in November of 2011. We were together for 3 years and it never got any easier to watch her be in so much pain all the time. You just have to be there for him. Make him smile as often as you can. Try to keep his mind off CF and please cherish his life and your time together. "
