Different foods tend to have different reactions on those of us with CD/UC, some of us can eat popcorn and others are in agony afterwards(this includes me).
It's a very strange disease but good luck in cutting out the evil stuff!
I get constipated when I eat beef. I can eat well-drained home cooked hamburgers and at a few local diners. I cannot eat chain burgers. I pay for days. Roasts and steaks I eat only a few times a year with a salad to keep it moving...
Fish and chicken give no problems however. Try eating it baked or broiled rather than fried. I had to mostly give up frying anything.
The faux-foods, veggie substitutes for bacon and burgers, are an absolute godsend for me.
Pork of any kind is a no-no for me. Within an hour I have cramps and bloating, gas, then I spend the next few days in our favorite room.
Hang in there, once you get a grip on what hurts, and avoid it, life does get better.

Oh, and popcorn (my favorite!!!) is also something I can no longer eat.
One thing that I've noticed is when I'm starting to not feel well I get a craving for spicy chicken wings. I can't figure it out!
I just had a small wendys value menu burger which is probably only the 3rd time I ate a little beef in 2015. I don't know why, I just wanted it.
But normally I don't miss it anymore.
I live mostly on chicken and fish and I can eat pork thank God. I do miss my burgers though, turkey burgers just aren't the same, lol and whatever is in garden burgers makes me sick but I have to watch my spices too, everything is dull dull dull, lol
