it doesn't have any of prednisones nasty side affects! But all the posistive gains :) If you can afford it get it :)

Entocort is a similar steroid to Prednisone, but it is coated in such a way that it does not release until the small bowel. This helps the medication to work on the diseased area without absorbing into the bloodstream nearly as much. (Kind of like putting a cream only on a rash and not the entire body, if that makes sense.)

It sure helped me a lot when I was on it. I dont have to take it anymore since Im on Welchol.

I am on entocort but i still gain wieght and lost some of my hair.. but I cant seem to get off of it . I take three a day then i move it to 2 a day and it starts to hurt but it is baerable but then the start person i am thinkin I can bring it down to one .. so i try it and boom the pain is horrible so ugg..back up to 3 so i guess i am just venting..

I am the same way..I have been on entocort for a year now..I can't get off it! If I try to go down to 1 pill a day, I feel like i wanna die.

Entocort is very expensive. I took 9 mg. day for five weeks and noticed absolutely no change. I didn't notice any side effects either. The drug just didn't work for me.
