What was the one thing that you ate that either set off a flare or brought you so much pain you probably will never eat it again....

For me it was Popcorn. It took me out for an entire weekend.

" Popcorn for me! But I have found the BEST replacement ever! It is called Pirate's Booty, it's a natural puffed rice and corn with aged cheese. I tell you what, I can eat as much as I want, it's low fat and BETTER than popcorn. I put it in my purse when I go to the movies and am so happy now. They sell it at Costco, and grocery stores!

Bon Appetit! "

" Sherry,

Pirate's Booty... or you could do the RICE CAKES from the market. Must be something to do with the hard part of the kernals that don't pop.... irritating our gut... tearing as they pass out of our bodies..... "

" Yes, popcorn is a killer. I can't eat ice cream, but I can eat Weight Watchers Cookie and Cream ice cream bars. They are chocolate ice cream dipped in chocolate crumbs. They are the best stuff in this world, and they don't make me sick. I think it's the fat content that makes me so ill. I can't eat anything fried. "

" I can actually tolerate popcorn now, but before my ostomy surgery, I couldn't go near it no matter how bad I wanted it. Also, canned or corn-on-the-cob. I loved eating corn in the late summer. But, it's what did me in. I eat it only sparingly, & a very small portion at best. Watermelon too. "

" Nuts. I had a bad run-in with hazelnuts a while ago, now known by me and my doctor as 'The Great Nut Incident'.

I can eat pine nuts though... go figure...
Wheat-based things will send me trotting.

and....
chocolate :(((( "

" Cheetos! I can't go near them. Strange, popcorn has never upset my tummy and I eat it all the time. I wonder why that is... "
