Trying to find the cause(s) of my bad abdominal pain off and on for over 10 years. This time around it is bad, very severe, wondering what tests need to be done. I have questioned candida, ulcerative colitis, diverticulitis, I am clueless.
Seeing the gastroenterologist tomorrow and need to get to the bottom of this. This time around it is VERY different than any other times I have had pain.
My most common symptoms are:
-nausea
-pain worse in the morning
-moves around, mostly on right side, when before on left mostly
-pain can be burning to strictly throbbing
-only relief I get is with Suboxone, an opiate. Phenergan also helps somewhat. I feel like I have possibly a viral bacteria in my gut?
I had an abdominal ultrasound this morning.
I also itch on my belly skin, and have had 3 laparoscopies for the emdometriosis and wonder if the adhesions have "hooked" onto my bowel? Is that possible?
I am scared and want to know what is going on---ar there certain tests I need to ask my GI doc to do? I was thinking a barioum swallow and barium enema?? Before I go into an EGD scope and/or colonoscopy....
Can somene please help/give suggestions.
Where do I begin to find out the cause of this pain? My bowel movements are kind of mucous-filled, broken apart, light colored, just different symptoms everyday at different times, but mostly pain and nausea.
(SOrry for the TMI, but this is what is going on)
