When you have a flare up what are all of your symptoms? What does your diahrrea look like...is it real watery and what color? Does your back, knees, or joints ever bother you? Does anyone have small knots on lower abdomen that your can feel with your hand?

I would really appreciate some respones from those of you who have Crohns Disease. I was diagnosed with it about 4 years ago when I was 22. I would just like to relate to someone else who has it. Thanks!!

" So sorry you are so young and have this terrible disease. It is so hard to deal with, and many people do not understand, especially close friends and family members.

My symptoms when in a flare: constant diahrrea (sometimes dark in color) with blood and mucus, rectal discharge with no warning, nausea/vomiting, no appetite, food goes right through me when I do try to eat, weight loss, very tired & wants to sleep all the time, fever, chills, even the smell of foods make me sick to my stomach, depression, unable to go anywhere...sure there are more!

I do have trouble with joint pain in my knees, hands, elbows. My knees seem to be the worst. I also have a great deal of trouble with my skin that is related to having this disease - mostly on my hips and upper thighs, and belly.

Wishing you luck! "

" My son has Crohn's. He is 18, diagnosed at 14. He does have a lot of joint pain and fatigue. During a flare up he has a lot of cramping and must limit his diet to almost nothing to avoid pain. He smokes marijuana to relieve a lot of the nausea and cramping, also to stimulate appetite. "
