Advice:
UC med not in gel cap

Anyone with UC, does your mesalamine med not come in a gel cap. The Apriso I'm taking is giving me a moderate headache and a bit of light-headedness 3 to 4 hours after I take it. The headache hangs on most of the rest of the day. I'm slightly allergic to gelatin and am wondering if maybe the gel cap is the cause of the headaches. Apriso is the only mesalamine I've taken so I don't know how the others are packaged. I don't want to ask my GI to change my med if there isn't one out there that doesn't use gel caps because I don't want to change from mesalamine while it's working for me. If I have to, I'll put up with the headache. I appreciate any help you can give me.

" I'm on Lialda. It's a caplet, not a gel cap. "
