Massive Sweating during first treatment

I was diagnosed 2 weeks ago and am having a lot of problems with headaches, sweating everytime I sleep or even try to move around a lot over the last two days. I feel like I've been to my GP's office a million times over the past two months and am running out of time for sick leave and cash. Could this be about prednisone? Is this just how life is until I get past this flare up? Am I a wimp?

" Definitly the pred. Are you also perimenopausal? That can make it worse. It should get better as you start to wean off of the pred. Good luck to you, "

" I have night sweats and sometimes in the day and I am not on prednisone. Because of all of my diagnosis and problems I just assume they are all related in some way. I have also been having swelling in my feet and hands and a lot of joint pain. I am being referred to a rheumotologist to see if I now have IBD arthritis. Sigh.... "

" It's probably the prednisone, but could also be a reaction to being in pain or suffering from cramping.
You're not a whimp!
Have you shared with your boss or personnel about this?
If not you need to do so. i see you work for a college if that is so be it private or especially if it is public and they have a total of 50+ employes they have to abide by the americans with disabilities act. With UC or Chrohns you qualify under that act. Do not let them give you are hard time about missing work or threatening to fire you they are placing themselves in great legal jeopardy if they due. If needed write a letter to personnel department putting them on notice of your condition medical documentation would help and have a lawyer do it if needed. Things will probably never come to that once they are fully aware of your condition. Just do the best you can while there and take no crap about missing work for the Doctor or due to your illness. Although it's embarassing make sure your coworkers who must cover for you know about your condition they will most likely be very supportive once they know what is really happening.
You may have to miss work without pay but that is much better than losing your job especially right now. "

" The sweating in the sleep seems like the prednisone. I have only just started it and was sweating the first night I had it. I have not personally had a headache yet, but others that I know who have been on prednisone said they had them.
Good luck. I wish i could be of more help, but like you, I am also new to this disease. "
