About the time that I had my colonectomy in 1999 Kleenex came out with a line of products Called Cottonelle. If you are using the restroom 6 to 24 times a day these products can literally save your ass. (sorry it's just too perfect) Their toilet tissue is the least abrasive on the market and if You use that along with one of their wet wipes (preferably the ones with aloe vera, but tuff to find) you will avoid a lot of soreness, bleeding, discomfort etc. For people like us a comfortable butt is a little like a slice of heaven and I'd like to thank the Kleenex company for my slice.

I use Cottonelle wipes. They help alot. I totally agree with you. We could all use a little extra comfort.

After using the Cottonelle Wipes for a while I developed a bad case of "Monkey Butt" on My Butt Cheeks, After some Research and Trial and Error I found that My "Monkey Butt" condition was caused by the Cottonelle Wipes (contact dermatitis). My Wife on the other hand has no reaction to the Wipes and Love Them! Just be Aware of the Potential for a adverse Reaction to the Product! Good Luck and may Your Highway not be surrounded by Monkey Butt!

Another thing to use is diaper rash ontiments. They put a sheild between you and the paper and they have some healing properties.

Another really good thing are Personal Cleansing Pads. They are premoistened with Witch Hazel (which is great stuff- it eases inflammation...it even prevents bruising if you put it on place where you bumped yourself ...I wrapped one around my thumb when the bear proof lid on the garbage can slammed on it when I was camping..didn't even bruise and I was able to use it!...if I hadn't used it my thumb it would have been useless).
Ok, now to why I suggested it. It is so soothing after, you know, how uncomfortable you feel when you have had a number of very loose bowel movements and also after passing blood. The pharmacist suggested them (he uses them himself). I buy the no-name ones.
