Some drs dont like any supplements or natural because they cant control how much one takes.
I bought the natural healing book and use it plus other supplements. I think its your choice. Drs dont know much about meds anyway after you talk to a pharmacist, about the meds they prescribe esp the side effects. I woiuld just read more about it, google it and make your own descision.

OMG, that stuff is expensive, I was just in the pharmacy checking it out and the 75mg is 19.99. Now that either means it's so good that they can charge anything they want or that they know a gullible public will provide the high priced marketing. If you learn more about it, please let us know! Also, if your dr. did say 'no', could you find out why. I'm on the verge of trying it and would like to save myself from any future grief!
