I will be having a coronary arterial bypass graph (CABG) in the next week or so and i would like to hear about anybodies experiance. Has anybody had a cabg done with the da Vinci Surgical System. From what i have read it make for a shorter recovery time, less invasive, and less pain.

hey hi i had triple bypass done in april last year and it sounds worse than it realy is its not bad at all my ankle was moresore than the chest they nicked a nerve ending that still bothers my leg but the chest not bad at all it wasnt painfull as it was more sore but right after surgery for acouple of days yes it can be but its ok my brother went through it last month and he said i was right it wasnt as bad as he thought so youll be ok

good luck with your bypass! I'm sure you'll be just fine. I had a CABG x 4 in 11-05 and although I recovered quickly, I had problems afterward. I'm only 33 yrs old now so I had just turned 30 about a month before my CABG. I haven't heard of the da vinci system but I hope it works better than the surgery I had cuz it was HELL! But it saved my life so it was definately worth it!
