Quadruple heart bypass surgery

I am being operated on this Fri Dec 12th at 5am. I am scrared to death.
I know what to expect but I don't want to die and leave my husband and 37yo daughter who lives in ME with her boyfriend. My daughter is coming to see me tommorrow to wish me good luck and I have some really cute pic of her 2 children, Josh now age 18 and a paratrooper MP in the army, and her daughter Amada age 16 a junior in High School now.
The pics are when they were infants and toddlers. I just know she will get the biggest kick out of the photos and it will be such a fine remnant of our time back then. I was a Grand-mother at age 38 and it was just like having 2 babies all over again, because I would take my 2 grand-children every weekend so her exhusband and she would have more along time together. Then My daughter, Molly would meet me half way between my house and her house in ME.to pick up the kids at the Portsmouth.NH circle at Howard Johnsons. We then would do it all over again the following weekend. I would so look forward to each weekend being with them. Please say a few prayers for me that I come out of the surgery OK. Thanks for reading this.

" I know you are so afraid. I've been there mine was a trible. I didn't have much notice. You will get through it. But like Barneybear said it is something that we can do. You are getting a new chance. And it is ok to be afraid. Tell your daughter and hug and kiss her. We are thinking of you. I am adding you to my prayers. LL "

" Keep a positive attitude. If is difficult at first but once you get home you will feel a little better each day. I had a quadruple one four years ago at age 54. It important to keep up with the cardiac rehab; that helps alot. When mine was done, they had me out of bed one day later! Its draining but you have to keep wanting to get better and you will!! "

" You will be ok. They put you to sleep then you wake up and it's over. You will feel like crap for awhile but every day your body heals up.
If you start feeling depressed be sure and get on some antidepressants..also the pain medication they give you has side effects ..educate yourself and don't get too reliant on the addictive ones.
Make yourself walk!!!! do cardiac rehab. I was a basket case for awhile 6 months after a 5x bypass i was hiking on Hadrians Wall in England. Stay in touch with us here we do care and we do definitely understand!!! "

" Had a triple bypass about 5 years ago, and never felt better. Recovery takes a while. I went to cardio rehab 3 times a week for exercise, and it really helped. Good luck. You'll be amazed at how good you feel after a brief recovery. "

" You are in my thoughts and prayers. I had a quadruple bypass 2 1/2 years ago at the age of 39. It is challenging but try to remain as positive as you can during your recovery period. If possible go to cardiac rehab as the exercise will help you feel better. "
