Pulmonary valve replacement

I've had a problem with my pulmonary valve since I was born and when I was three I had a stint placed in it and I was told when I was about seven or eight that in my twenties I would eventually need the valve replaced. I just found out last Tuesday that I have at the very most, two months to have my valve replaced before my heart just gives out. I know that the replacment can be of either tissues or plastic and metal. However, I have no idea what to expect as in what all goes into the surgery, the time of recovery so I'm pretty much lost. I'm in the process of applying for disability and because i have no insurance or a job at the moment, I'm hurting on getting any of this done. Do any of yall have any advice about any of this cause I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

" Most hospitals in a situation like this would say "Let's get you well, we will worry about the bill later" so don't let financial worries stop or stress you. The surgery will be rough but it is a fairly common procedure. YOu will be in ICU for a day or so. YOu will be given pain meds. If you Google U of M Medical Center/and or Medical System and go to their patient info sites, they should have quite a bit of info on the surgery, etc. I have found that they do a very nice job. Let me know if there is anything that I can do. Blessings Diane "
