I was diagnosed with NCAH (non-classical Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia) at the age of 8. I am now twelve. (the info on this is wrong lol). And i was wondering how other people handle this. I have been handling this good and its not a big issue for me, but i was wondering what people have to go through. So far i have to take 3 and a half pills of Cortef (Cordisal or somethin like that) and 1 pill...

Today has been one of those days when things appear to be going ok then everything seems to go wrong. There is no one thing to make me feel this way. I seem to be very happy and then all at once a dark cloud seems to take over. It feels like I am on a rollercoaster of mixed feelings.1 Recommendation

Wel I went to my nero dr and i was so relieived when he said that I didnt need surgery on my Chari Malformation (brain). He said that it wasnt bad enough to need surgery. He also is sending me to one of the Dr he works with that is a spine specialist. So they can figure out what is going on with my spine. So I hope i can get good results from him.1 Recommendation -

Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia Information
Congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH) refers to any of several autosomal recessive diseases resulting from defects in steps of the synthesis of cortisol from cholesterol by the adrenal glands. Most of these diseases involve excessive or deficient production of sex steroids and can pervert or impair development of primary or secondary sex characteristics in affected infants, children, and adults. Only a small minority of people with CAH can be said to have an intersex condition, but this attracted American public attention in the late 1990s and many accounts of varying accuracy have appeared in the popular media.
Treatment of all forms of CAH may include any of:
1. supplying enough glucocorticoid to reduce hyperplasia and overproduction of androgens or mineralocorticoids
2. providing replacement mineralocorticoid and extra salt if the person is deficient
3. providing replacement testosterone or estrogen at puberty if the person is deficient
4. additional treatments to optimize growth by delaying puberty or delaying bone maturation
5. genital reconstructive surgery to correct problems produced by abnormal genital structure
