This is just my way of introducing myself to the group.
I was married, a father, and gay. I spent most of my life lying to myself about who and what I really was, and I gave myself excuses about the way I felt. It was a very long, tough road, but I've learned to accept myself, and embrace who I really am. I think it is very important that you are doing this. But I also celebrate that fact that you lied to yourself for so long and contributed to society by give the world another kid!
My Dad did that same thing. He was raped as a kid by my grandfather. He told me that for the longest time he felt stuck--in the middle--but now he is engaged to a wonderful lady that hopefully will be my new mom soon. For him it took almost 20 years of soul / sex searching. What he eventually told me is this: "Son, don't search for a girl or a boy. One doesn't marry for gender, or sex, or money. Search for love. Search for that soft pillow to fall when the world is crashing down. If the feelings are reciprocated back to you, then most likely you've found it -- LOVE. Fall in love with LOVE." He has and we're a happy family in the making.
