Coming Out
By Kristal Smith My dearest Mom and dad My goal is not to make you feel sad I have something important to say Something’s bothered me every day Remember the time that I tried suicide Of that I have no pride This pain I have inside is very real Agony as well do I feel I feel it is best To get it off my chest Know this to be true before I do Forever will I love you I am not what you see The other gender I need to be My whole life I have lived a lie If I have to carry on like this I’d rather die I am sorry if you think I’m a tart But to live my life I have to start I am sorry if you think I’m a pain A type of freedom I need to gain Again I say these words true Those words are I love you.
