Hi all. My 4 year old may be color blind. What advice do you have in how to proceed? He cannot seem to see any colors but is developing fine in all other areas.

" i suggest you keep going like normal. its not a big deal, well for some it is. but i think that he will do fine. and he still sees colors. not like you would, you would see them as green, red, etc. he sees them as diffrent shades of black. "

" Ha, I did not know I had a color problem untill my siblings would tease me about not knowing my colors. I can see color but not like most people. I cannot read any of those silly numbers hidden in the color blind test cards. I wish I could see color as most other people but I do not lose any sleep over it. I can see the rainbow but only a yellow and either a blue or purple. Buying clothes has always been an event. Usually a sympathetic sales woman helps me. When I am at home I need to ask my wife if I match! Hmmmm, I wonder if she purposefully tells me I match when I don't? She does have that sick sense of humor! "

" LOL. I have a colorblind soninlaw. When he and my daughter go shopping for clothes or furniture, he will say "No, I don't like the colors" and she always laughs.

But he really DOESN'T like them. He said he sees shades of gray and some just don't look as well together as others. "
