Just had to share this good news. While in the infusion room the other day I was placed next to a gentleman I had never seen before. We got to talking, and he said he was diagnosed with Stage IV colorectal 7 years ago,mets to liver and lungs. The best odds he was given for his particular case were between 10-12 months. It is now 7 years (and several surgeries and treatments later) and he has just bought his lift tickets for another skiing season in New Hampshire --- for the 3rd year in a row! He looked terrific. Goes out on his boat fishing regularly , he told me. SO--- I guess what I need to remember is just to never, ever, ever give up.

My dad's just been diagnosed and I'm feeling very down and depressed. After hearing that story I'm more hopeful and positive. I've decided to stop looking at the stats and join the support group instead. Let's keep the faith.
