As some of you may know, I have been on Oxaliplatin, Leucovorin & 5-FU for the past 4 months (6 chemos) I have been a real mess, not one good day so far, sick with side effects all the time. Tomorrow is #7 they are stopping the Oxi. I need prayers that my side effects will be less now, I just want at least one day when I feel ok, several days would be better. I have also been taking shots every other day of Neupogen to build my white count, now off of the Oxi my wbc should go up by itself, pray that it would so I can stop the Neupogen shots in my tummy. Sorry that I'm such a downer, but I'm so tired of being sick all the time, tired of just laying in bed wishing I could go out and do something. Thank you.

" GG, I am so sorry it has been so difficult...not one good day...that is horrible! My heart goes out to you. I know the feeling of "being sick and tired of being sick and tired". I will pray that you have an easier time and don't get sick. Thanks for sharing and giving us the honor of praying and supporting you.
Blessings,
Cat "

" Hi GG...
I m not on Oxy.. I have some of the side fx.. but my energy bounced back almost immediately as of skipping that 7th dose.
I am on Xeloda.. and not happy, but I am out and somewhat functioning. Went to the Farmers Market, Watched the fireworks, took the trolly... all in all sneaking back into my life. I think you ll see a huge difference as the Oxy side fx begin to subside.
Big Hug...MPNC "

" GG , you have my prayers and wishes for a smooth session this time. I can't say I know how it is as my side effects usually last 2 to 3 days but I am new to chemo so who knows what the future brings. I am going to keep you in my thoughts and hope that all goes well and that you would get several days of feeling okay.
Hang in there and vent away, that is why we are here for each other. Don't apologize, we are a support group and that means through thick and thin.
Hugs,
Kadija "

" GG, I'm sorry you're feeling so poorly. Oxi is some nasty stuff, some can't tolerate it, and bless your heart, it sounds like you're one of them. You've got all the prayers you need and then some. Why are they making you take the shots in your tummy?? I had mine given in the arm. Would that be less painful for you? Hold on to your faith...you're almost through :) "

" Kadija - Yes I've had bad side effects since day one.
All of you - Thank you so much for your encouragement & prayers. I guess I'm the poster child for "sick & tired of being sick & tired". Thank you so much for being on this site, it is such a blessing to me. "

" I understand you GG. I have also side effects from Oxaliplatin. I have numb fingers, feet and legs below my knees. I hope to skip Oxi next time. I hope you'll feel better without Oxi.
And please vent any time you feel like.

" It is hard to be feeling horrible all the time, I do sympathize. I pray that you will feel better every day as the oxi drains out of your system, and that your white blood cells regenerate to their full strength very quickly.
Peace and love to you. "

" GG, I'm sorry you've had some rough times yeah. #7, your on the countdown. Keep that fighting spirit going. The chemo will soon be at an end. Your already on the road to recovery. I know it dosn't seem like it right now, but if it's making you sick, think of what it's doing to those cancer cells. Hey, vent all you like, and I've got a special prayer coming your way. " GG I can only imagine the anguish you are going through I know I get frustrated haveing to spend one day in bed. To be feeling this way for so long I can only imagine how frustrating that must be.

I hope I can speak for the others here when I say venting is part of our recovery and I know when I was recovering I did not want to burden my family with my vents and fears so please vent or express your fears without concern.

You are in my prayes and fond thoughts regularly. Take care and travel safely in the protection of your HP.

G8 "
