Is it just me?
I find it distasteful when I sign on here to find people posting wanting members of this site to participate in online surveys. I find their belief to come into the site and ask us to participate without first asking if we want to, without assessing what impact doing the survey may have on the participant etc thoughtless. I know surveys are important and need to be conducted but there is a time and place for them and I am not sure this is the place. For me this is where I come to be safe to share my concerns and worries, to share my experience to help others on the site. Not sure really why it causes me angst but it does. In full greement with you G8. This is a safe haven for us and I for one would like to see it stay neutral!! If one wants to participate in surveys, they can do their own researching online. Let's keep our safe haven just that.

Agreed, I thought the same thing when I read the latest post request. I do understand however that a young college age student may not understand what exactly we are all going through though, and they do a search on the internet and this is where they think to find their subjects. Just a note to these people doing these surveys, we have been the subject of poking a proding, and testing and surgeries and lord knows what else and we just do not want that here, this is a support group not a doctors office or clinic.
