Colonoscopy prep

So I'm having my first colonoscopy tomorrow morning. It was a last minute thing to schedule - and I hadn't eaten anything all morning. So I was starving and I didn't eat much for dinner last night in nervous anticipation for my dr appoinment today I didn't have much of an appetite.

So at 2:15 I had like a 3 bites of my grandmas food.

It's 16 hours in between that time that I ate that and when my test will be.

Is that enough time?

" Might be too late for this advice but clear fluids are what I had to keep away the hunger. They had me take this medicine that totalled cleaned me out too. So jello, juice, bouillon, black tea coffee - nothing red. A few bites of food should not bother anything I think. "

" Hi,
I got it done. Was up til 3 am drinking the 4 liter drink. I only got about 2.5 liters down. But I was clear, the doc said everything looked good. I'm just waiting on the biopsy results - he said there might be minor inflammation. But I think I'm good - they didn't find anything obvious. "

" Too late now but the doctor had suggested to me lots of broth, high in sodium. Also, the Miralax and Dulcolax Bowel Prep is so much easier to do than the stuff most doctors prescribe.....so for future reference, or for someone reading this post who has a colonoscopy coming up......you can find it online! :-) "
