A lot of posts here refer to prayers, religion and such. I have my own belief system but as a social worker, I learned to respect where others are coming from and help people to help themselves with the tools that work best for them.

I just wanted to make this comment because some people may be turned off by some of the posts. I hope they hang in there and realize everyone copes with cancer in their own way and need to be supported.

" Thanks for your post on this. I too have my own belief system. I try to acknowledge that everyone copes in their own way and that's ok.
We are all trying to get through these challenges and to offer each other support in some form. "

" Nice post Kate. I'd say I've been on a spiritual journey that's evolved over the years. It didn't involve religion for a long time and my God's taken many shapes. My experiences in the past few years has seen me renew my relationship with God and it's nice to share that with like-minded people, but I'm also wary of the platform that's done in. To me spirituality is a journey of personal growth, and I love hearing others experiences. Hope we can all continue on that journey :} "
