Throat and Mouth sores

I've gotten many throat sores and (one) mouth sore with my last chemo. They don't hurt a lot.... but just appeared in the last day or so.
I'm spraying with Choloroseptic and swishing with salt water. Any other advice? If you got a script for Magic Mouthwash, was your co-pay very high? Posted on 06/22/09, 03:06 pm |

Hey Diane, My Dr. gave me "Chlorhexidine Gluconate 0.12% Oral Rinse" They didn't like salt water or anything else. Directions are 3 x a day or as needed. My Dr said morn. & eve. was enough for now for me. Mine are not too bad, I just have "funny mouth" and I don't use the mouth rinse very often, usually just once at night. The catch is you can't eat or drink or swish anything after you do the mouth rinse, so just before bed is good. I hope you are doing ok and that each day gets better for you. I keep praying. hugs, g
