Advice:
How do you deal with credit card debt?

Have any of you noticed a tuition hike? My tuition went up almost 700 dollars and that's not including room&board and all those other fees. It's also close to impossible to find an on-campus job (off-campus is hard because I don't have a car/license). So with tuition increases, textbooks, cost of living (groceries, going out, cab fares), have any of you found it harder and harder to pay off your credit card bills? I've always been responsible with money and now for the first time in my life, I've found myself sinking in impending debt. How am I supposed to concentrate on school and do well if I'm so wrapped up looking for jobs?

Anyone else facing the same issues?

" I've felt the same way. Luckily I managed to somehow get a job at the campus bookstore as a temporary employee and was asked to stay on after the temporary employment time was up. Try applying at the campus bookstore(s) right now because they may be hiring temporary employees for the beginning of this fall. And in your application, be sure to play up if you have cashiering experience or bookstore experience. It's how I managed to get hired as one of 8 out of thousands of applicants.

Also, put your credit cards in a cup of water and put it in the freezer. Do NOT use them unless you absolutely have to. Continue to pay the bills with as much money as you can spare. "

" My parents recently told me they are going to start decreasing the amount of money they give me each month for school. I lost my job in Vegas because of the economy and am worried I wont be able to pay tuition or car payments. I totally understand what you mean. "
