This is for those of us with sometime under our belts and for those who are just starting out. it's to me just something to think about and I also put it to use.

I only have a little time into my sobreity when it come's to some of you but in my eyes anytime is good time. what I have found in my life is that the longer I stay in my sobreity the more comfortable I become and I tend to let my guard down when it come's to going to meetings or some type of a support group.
I realize I can't allow myself this comfort if I want to stay on track. It is so important to keep Your focus and keep up your support system I need it more as the Holidays come closer and you never know You may also be able to help someone else that is struggling at the sametime.

This is just something I was thinking about I don't know if anyone will agree with it or not but I hope ever if it's only one Person it helps them. I know I will always need a Support System in My Life and to me thats not a bad thing when I think about it I always made time for Drugs now its time for Support.

Well I hope Everyone is doing well Be Strong And Be Happy.

" Staying humble in recovery is very important. What I see time and time again is we get a bit of time clean and then life gets busy and we slack off on the things we did to get God between us and our addiction. We quit spending time with Him in the morning, quietly asking for direction in our affairs, we start missing meetings, don't call our sponsor every day, in short quit being accountable to our fellows in recovery. That's when "the beast" starts taking up way too much space in our head and we are open to buying the lie that we can have a drink....or a toke....it's been so long....it won't hurt me this time....Meetings won't keep me sober, but staying accountable in my recovery to a group, to a sponsor will, cause when we stay accountable we stay in the work and that keeps God between us and our addiction "

" You sound well rounded, and its not the amount of time its the quality of time. For me life is balance. I either do to much or too little. And even in the program you can overkill. I do not do the meetings I use to, but I have host of friends that are in my outside life, and I use the phone every day.

Meetings are the fellowship..and for me and I stress this alot with my sponsoree's, "Recovery" is in the steps.

So meetings are good, and our lives change by that one person we may meet there. But if you do not work the steps, and keep them working daily in your life, the meetings will become a memory, and so may your clean time.

Thanks very good post. "
