sounds like some growth, that is good stuff, I know I couldn't have made it without God the support of people who really care, If ever you need to talk please know you have a brother wh's been through it.

Harold - BRAVO!!!!! I owe you a huge apology for not checking my mail more often and missing your recent posts. This wife of an unrepentent crack addict is thrilled to see you fighting for yourself and your family. Faith is key, spirituality is key and support of everyone here will help you to accomplish what you set out to do. For the moment, I leave you with two great credos to live with complements of Eleanor Roosevelt, which I printed, folded and carry in my wallet to stay strong when I feel that I have nothing left. They apply to any situation: "I believe that anyone can conquer fear by doing the things he fears to do, provided he keeps doing them until he gets a record of successful experience behind him. You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, 'I lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.'" and "In the long run, we shape our lives, and we shape ourselves. The process never ends until we die. And the choices we make are ultimately our own responsibility." You are taking the right path and show your resolve (even when you don't feel very strong) and fighting your demons in the most public forum. That has to be scary as hell to expose yourself, put yourself out there but as you've seen - risks worth taking with the support system you have in this forum. You may not even realize that there may be many others in need who are just at the beginning of their recovery journey, still silent on the forum, but probably learning from your experience already. Be proud, be faithful and open to the higher power's ability to give you the tools and put you in contact with people who will stand by you as you reach your goals. Much love and positive energy to you and your family.

I usually post on the family and friends of addicts site. I am new here. But I am so glad you made it back. Never give up.
Like Washji said many never come back. My crack addicted husband was one of those people. God rest his soul. Every day you make it through clean is a victory
