Why is it so hard to just let go?

Its been quite a while since I've been on here. I thought I'd finally kicked my habits, had become pregnant, got a great job, bought a house, ect.. Life was good. Well, needless to say, three miscarriages and a lot of other bad happenings later, I'm again trying to get it right. I guess my question is, why? I feel like every time I get things into perspective, I manage to screw it up. My husband is doing great with his addictions, which I am so proud of him for. I just don't get it. I feel like I'm in this deep, dark, cold hole with no light in sight.

" I advise you seek Therapy and some meetings...Addiction is Not just a Habit, it a life long Disease that there is no known cure for but we can keep it under control by dealing with it on a daily basis..
Please dont focus on your husband and his addiction, while I am happy for him everyone is different and has different backgrounds..
I am sorry you are going through such pain right now & I can Truly relate!! Please seek professional help..

" Thanks Donna. I am going to try to see what kind of resources are available. I just need to keep a clear head long enough to get thru. Its not so bad on days I work, its the days I'm off work, at home alone that I get myself in trouble. "

" hm hummingbrd says it's a life long disease? I didn't need to hear that today. Since my love is gone again with my van on a drug trippy, sorry, but, find something that works, treat it like an illness, find support that you can call anytime anywhere and have strategies that help and work in place and use them. I need to be more of an ass and learn to say nope I know where your going and your not going. To bad walk. It's so hard tho seems like being mean isn't my forte~ "
