While I wait for my doctor to get better, I am making up a list of questions, or rather topics, I would like answered at the next appointment.
So far, here is what I got:

1. Results from the last exams, prognosis, new treatments or meds.

2. Vinegar and alcohol use in food preparation.

3. Any food, besides alcohol, that is absolutely prohibited.

5. Sugar or sweetener?

6. Vitamins, C, D, E, K, Calcium, protein sources etc..

7. Dentist, any special concerns?

8. Exercises and portal hypertension.

9. What's is taking so long for them to find a cure for this thing?

" Why no 'B' vitamins in your list wq?? are you becoming alphabetically challenged?? :-)

You could slip melatonin onto your list as it seems to cure fibrosis.

" B and melatonin. OK.
The latter probably will get me a "not tested so it is useless" speech, but I will pitch it to him. "

" Well your more optimistic, than you let on,
If you expect any satisfactory answers to these questions.

As a newly diagnosed novice I wrote to the head honcho at the liver dept Kings College and received, the reply that should any treatment become available I would be assessed.

But Unfortunately there is at present, no medication's available, and as far as the reports about this and that being of value
There is little evidence to support such claims.

He did end on the more positive note saying a great deal of research is being undertaken,This was about 3 years ago.

If there is any breakthrough's you'll probably hear it here first rather than from the Medics,

Anytime I have inquired about things to improve my condition I usually get that puzzled look.
(that's a new one)
But we live in Hope!
Regards "

" The post Re craig,s list, When first diagnosed I searched all the local libraries for books on liver disease.

I found books on the most obscure medial conditions, but liver disease was only referred to in the most basic way, usually giving warnings on the dangers of alcohol.
So Craig there is a dire need for a book with comprehensive up to date information,

I'm sure finding a publisher would be the easy part
Such a book would have saved me a lot of puzzlement and confusion
