I was scheduled to see my GI this coming Thursday. Yesterday I get a call from his secretary who tells me the appointment was postponed because he underwent emergency ...gallbladder surgery!

LOL! Poor fellow - gallbladder is no picnic! I hope his surgery went well and you are able to get to your regular routine with him.
By the way ... it's unusual for me to hear any mention of medical costs (being from Alberta). No, no, no, I don't want to open up discussion about health care even though it's a hot topic in the U.S. and Canada ... and I'm sure many other countries! Just as an aside ... most surgery is too risky for bleeding for cirrhotic patients according to my GI doc. It was a big factor in NOT taking mine out when I was in hospital for gallbladder infection. At the risk of repeating myself ... hope you get back on track with him soon! It would be frustrating to start with someone else. I had to do it once because we moved and it was a big adjustment.
